ABC News ran a story about Facebook's ban of breastfeeding photos. Go here to view video.
FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! Is all I could think when I first started listening. Facebook apparently had people complain because of the photos. People listen....a woman has mammary glands for the purpose of breastfeeding babies. That is there sole purpose. They were not put there for entertainment but society has deemed them as such. I don't hear people screaming OMG! There is a man showing his nipples! The Sin of it all! Then putting a ban on all bare-chested photos of men.
There are You Tube videos and forums wanting to ban breastfeeding because they find it offensive. Just what little I surfed the web on the subject there are places who have banned breastfeeding.
When in society did we lose our sense of God-given nurturing and turn something so natural into "offensive". Perhaps people need to get their heads out of the gutter and see the beauty of things rather than seeing everything as being sinful or wrong.
Time to grow up and realize that "boobies" were not created to please the eye but to nurture a life.
Breastfeeding mothers.....I applaud you!

I have a feeling this New Year will be me expressing myself more about subjects I feel passionate about. Brace yourselves LoL
I will also be working on my dolls and keeping you posted on my business goings-ons'.
I welcome your comments. Please be sure to click on the titles and you will then see an area to leave comments. Again, for some reason I cannot get my comments to work on the main page. Ack! I've checked everything. I think I have an error in the HTML code but I can't seem to find it.

AMEN! I am sure though they will keep them pictures posted of "barely covered" big breasted ladies out there...now won't they?!...Where are our morals anymore?!...so far gone that I think we don't even know what that word is anymore!
Exactly! You know, I'm reminded of that adult cartoon "Futurama". It's rare I watch it but this one episode I saw a couple of years ago sticks in my head. The cyclops gal says to the guy "It's amazing how you earthlings get so excited over a couple of mammary glands?!"
LoL she got an Amen from me!
Brenda, I agree with your post 100%! I have never understood what on earth is supposedly "shameful" about a mother feeding her baby in the biologically intended manner - especially when the same people who find breastfeeding "offensive" would probably find a litter of nursing puppies to be adorable!
Stephanie, well this may open another can of worms ;) but for some reason women have been taught that our bodies are shameful, including the natural course of breastfeeding a child when the breast might be exposed for a brief moment (Heaven forbid!) is considered "nudity".
I personally blame this on religion. Please know I'm not blaming God. I feel religion and God are two totally different things but now that's another subject LoL Dont' EVEN get me started on that one.
Back to breastfeeding...it's a God-given natural act and some of mankind wants to call it immoral as if it's against God.
As you can see I believe the subject of "God" is the lining upon many of our so-called "moral" decisions.
God gets labeled as doing a lot of stuff that has had nothing to do with God....and people believe it.
I say "always challenge the accepted wisdom".
Ack! I may have to start a post on that subject. I'll have to decide how brave I am ;)
Oh and hey I love your new avatar for the group. Those rabbits are too darn cute. I'll should have them up by tomorrow afternoon.
Boy, do I ever agree with you! I am a breastfeeding mother of two and am proud to say I did so with both of my children. It's natural and nothing to be ashamed of in the least bit.
Amen Stacy!
